Improve tone, texture, fine lines, pore size, and sun damage with the award winning, no-downtime CoolPeel.

introducing the cool peel laser

CO2 lasers are the gold standard for treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes as well as tighten skin and balance tone. Damaged skin tissue is removed, or ablated, stimulating new collagen production as heat energy is delivered to tighten the skin. Depending on the depth of treatment, CO2 treatments can be accompanied by considerable downtime while damaged skin heals.

What sets the Tetra PRO and HELIX apart from other CO2 lasers is that providers have the ability to customize the intensity, depth, and shape of the laser energy to maximize results while minimizing unnecessary downtime. Only the Tetra PRO and HELIX by DEKA have the advanced CO2 laser delivery that makes CoolPeel® with minimal to no downtime possible.

frequently asked questions

The number of CoolPeel sessions required for best results can vary depending on individual skin conditions and aesthetic goals. Generally, a series of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart is enough to achieve noticeable improvements.

01. How many treatments will I need?

You may see early changes in your skin's appearance within one to two weeks, but full results may take three to six months.

02. how long will it take to see results?

CoolPeel has minimal downtime, and you should be able to return to your normal activities after a day or two. You may appear a little red, similar to a sunburn. Your skin may also feel dry and flaky, so it's important to keep it moisturized.

03. what is the downtime?

No, anesthesia or localized numbing is not required, but a numbing cream may be used for added comfort.

04. is anesthesia or numbing required?

Before Your Treatment:
  • Stop using retinoid treatments at least one week prior to your laser session.
  • Botox or fillers should be administered at least two weeks before your laser treatment.
  • Avoid sun exposure for a few days leading up to your appointment.
After Your Treatment:
  • Avoid sun exposure for one week.
  • You can resume retinoid treatments on day 3.
  • For the first 24 hours, do not wash your face with soaps or skincare products; keep your skin moisturized.
  • Refrain from exfoliation or facials for one week.
  • Microneedling can be performed at the same time as your laser treatment.

05. What should i avoid before & after treatment?

The primary difference between microneedling and a CO2 Cool Peel is the method of creating micro-injuries in the skin: microneedling uses tiny needles to physically puncture the skin, while a CO2 Cool Peel uses laser energy to create microscopic thermal damage, and potentially more dramatic results for deeper skin concerns like wrinkles and scars. Microneedling can reach the upper layers of the dermis, while a CO2 Cool Peel can reach deeper dermal layers, allowing for more significant skin rejuvenation.  By combining these two treatments you can experience both immediate and long-term improvements in your skin's appearance and texture.
